BENEFITS OF LED

ENERGY EFFICIENT LIGHTING

Advances in LED technology have lead to this form of lighting emerging as the leader for residential and commercial lighting, outperforming CFL and halogens in terms of light quality, convenience and longevity.

Typical energy savings are around 80% with lifetimes of up to 70,000 hours. Good quality LEDs have enforceable warranties of up to 7 years.

However, not all LED lighting manufacturers are the same. When choosing an LED to replace an existing light source watch out for:

*  LEDs that are made to a price not a standard*  Overseas warranties that cannot be enforced*  Lamps not complying with Australian Standards*  Poor light quality and lumen output.

Go Green Alliance performs due diligence of every product we recommend. You can be comfortable that the research has been done for you by an independent business.

LED technology is advancing at a rapid rate, new product

designs and more efficient LED chips are being developed

regularly.Whatever light source you currently use can

probably be substituted with LED.

Whatever your requirement Go Green Alliance has a product for you, even custom built designs are possible where appearance needs to be maintained.

Many LEDs are dimmable. For commercial applications Go Green Alliance can combine the benefits of LED lighting with motion sensor and daylight harvesting technology which together can result in savings of over 93%!

brightgreen D700 LED MR16
  • Broad Spectrum: L.E.D’s emit light of any colour without colour filters. This is more efficient with lower overall costs.

  • Cool Lighting: L.E.D’s radiate very little heat and emit few UV rays. No fading. No insects!

  • Dimming: L.E.D’s can very easily be dimmed.

  • Efficiency: L.E.D’s produce more light per watt than incandescent bulbs.

  • Focus: L.E.D lights can be designed to focus light. Incandescent and fluorescent lights need reflectors and shades to point light in a certain direction.

  • Long Life: L.E.Ds have a relatively long life with up to 70,000 useful hours of light compared to 15,000 hours for fluorescent tubes and 2,000 hours for traditional incandescent bulbs.

  • Non-Toxic: L.E.D lights do not contain heavy metals or gases compared to fluorescent bulbs.

  • On/Off Resistant: L.E.D’s do not burn-out with frequent on-off cycling and light up very quickly each time.

  • Shock resistance: L.E.D’s are solid so are difficult to damage with external shock unlike traditional bulbs which are fragile.

  • Size: L.E.D lights can be produced very small making them more versatile than incandescent or fluorescent lights.

  • Slow failure: L.E.D lights dim over time compared to the burn-out of incandescent bulbs.
